Ruth Ellen Camby, 86, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at her residence.
A native of Canton, Mrs. Camby was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lillie Haynes McLemore. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tony Camby, sister, Mabel Bumgarner, and a brother, Jim McLemore.
Mrs. Camby was a former employee of Three Mountaineers and was a member of Oakley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Luther Camby, Jr.; daughter, Pamela Camby; sons, Steve Camby, Stanley Camby, Larry Camby (Wanda), and Terry Camby (Sybil); sisters, Ruby Neil (Bill) and Lois Clark; brother, Eugene McLemore (Janet); eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mrs. Camby will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
