Ruth Gasperson Morgan

Ruth Gasperson Morgan, 85, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Morgan was born in Buncombe Co. and was a daughter of the late George and Mada Lamb Gasperson . She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Max Gardner Morgan, and siblings Clara Mehaffey and George C. Gasperson, Jr. Mrs. Morgan was active with the Buncombe County Farm Bureau Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered for the US Government Federal Cheese Program, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Morehead and husband, Rick, and Kathy Morgan; sons, Gardner Morgan and Martin Morgan; four grandchidlren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery in Leicester, with the Rev. David Green officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
