RUTH ELLEN GLENN Ruth Ellen Moore Glenn, 63, of 36 Moore’s Valley Road, Leicester, died Sunday, November 30, 2003, at her home. Mrs. Glenn was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of Christine Angel Moore of Leicester and the late Claude Moore. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Hal Ray Glenn; two daughters, Nancy Williams of Raleigh and Celia Smith of Sanford; three sons, Roger Moore of Leicester, Jimmy Glenn of Portland, OR and Alfred Gattis of Sanford; one sister Frances Ramsey of Georgia and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Wednesday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Scroggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
