Ruth Morgan Webb, 89, of Dix Creek Rd., Leicester, died on Thursday, November 8 2012, at the Laurels of GreenTree Ridge. A native of Ware Shoals, SC, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Haddie Sprinkles Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph "Mutt" Russell Webb, who died in May of this year. Mrs. Webb was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Russell Eugene Webb and wife Leshia, of Candler; two daughters, Shirley W. Johnson and husband Robert, of Leicester, and Pam Webb, of the home; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Webb will be held at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday with the Rev. Charles Surrett officiating. Her family will receive friends following the service at the church.

  1. I am so happy that Miss Ruth is home and without pain.She has collected her reward for a life well served. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7. I have enjoyed continuing her legacy of caring for Pam. May all the family find a comfort they so dearly will need.

    I remember Ms. Webb as always smiling and comforting on those occasions when we would visit at her house or at yours. I am sorry to hear of the loss of both your mother and father this year, but know you can count your blessings with your kids and grand-kids. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and look forward to seeing you in the Summer, when we’ll be back in NC.
