Ruth Peterson Ingle

Ruth Wanda Peterson Ingle, 93, of Swannanoa, died Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Care Partners Solace Center. Born in Buncombe County to the late Girtus and Mamie Shope Peterson, she retired as a seamstress with Kellwood and was a member of Bee Tree Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ingle who died in 2000, and two daughters, Joan Jones and Cary Toretti. Survivors include son, Girtus (Lee) Wilson of Asheville and daughter, Carolyn Bradley of Swannanoa; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Tunnel Road chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Rev. James Lamb will officiate and burial will follow at Bee Tree Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to JF Keever Solace Center, P.O.
