Ruth R. Griffin

Ruth Roberson Griffin, 76, of 200 Tunnel Road, Asheville, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Griffin was born in Yancey County and was a daughter of the late D.E. and Lucretia R. Roberson. She was married to Donald Griffin, who died in 1977, and was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with burial at Roberson Family Cemetery on Bakers Creek, Yancey County.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
