Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. To the Family of Ruth Kimzey,
I was saddened to read of Ruth’s death. Some of my fondest memories as a child are going to the Kimzey’s in Skyland with my Mother, Martha Weir and my sister, Ann for our haircuts! She was a wonderful lady and I enjoyed knowing her and her family.

    Sincerely,

    Carol Weir Peterson

  2. To the Kimzey family,
I did not know Mrs. Kimzey or your family but I feel sure that we are related as there aren’t that many Kimsey or Kimzey’s in our area. I just wanted to extend my sympathies to the family. God Bless.

  3. To the family of Ruth Kimzey:

Mrs. Kimzey knew me when I visited her in March or April of this year. We talked over an hour and I received more than she from this delightful moment in time. She helped in giving me direction in this stage of my life. When I visited her briefly at the home in Fletcher, she awoke long enough for the visit to be very worthwhile. God Bless the family of Ruth Roberts Kimzey. My mom, Rebecca Nesbitt and Ruth were close for many, many years of their lives.

  4. Ruth was a wonderful woman whom I was proud to know, from driving her when she needed to go through VHP,We became very good friends over the years. She spoke fondly of all of you and loved you very much. She will be greatly missed. I really loved her and will miss her also. God bless you all.

  5. Dearest Momma Ruth -you were my true momma indeed. So kind and generous and such a quick wit! Holidays will not be the same without Momma Ruth to talk to. Loved ones on the "other side" must be so ecstatic to welcome you. And I will look forward to seeing you again one day. Love and prayers always, Lynn

  6. The Kimzey’s were our first neighbors when we moved to Skyland almost 47 years ago. They were all part of such a wonderful time and are sincerely missed.
