Rylee Cynthia Dantone passed away unexpectedly on Saturday August 6th 2022. We are heartbroken by this loss. Rylee was so loved by family, friends and everyone she met. Rylee was 10 years old. Some of the things she loved were science, art, music, books, princess movies and some scary ones. She also loved being surrounded by her favorite people, going on trips, swimming and being outside.

Even though Rylee had physical disabilities, that did not stop her family from including her in everything that they did. Kayaking, pontoon boating, taking her on hikes, running 5k’s, cruising, seeing live music and festivals. She also loved rides on the golf cart and jet ski.

Rylee was survived by her parents, John and Danielle (Johnson) Dantone; siblings, Caroline Dantone and Grayson Dantone; grandparents, Stephanie Johnson, Matthew Dantone (Sandy Dantone), and Terry Salais (Richard Salais); aunts, Christina Johnson (James Cassidy) and Amy Wilson (Josh Wilson; and uncles, David Dantone and Doug Martin. She also has three surviving Great-grandmothers and many cousins and extended family.

We will be holding a memorial service on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 at 2pm at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. We would love for you to share a couple words about Rylee if you would like to. We will also be meeting after the memorial at an undecided location. Updates will be posted on social media.

If you would like to donate to the family we will be creating a charity in Rylee’s name to donate to other special needs children. I know Rylee would love to be able to give to kids in need and make them smile.

  8. Rylee was my little angel. I was so blessed to babysit her when she was little. She was a joy to be with. I remember all the nights we would fall asleep together while Danielle was working. She was one of my babies and I know she is in a better place and having a wonderful time. She will be missed greatly. Rest in peace my angel, Mimi and papa love you. ❤️

  12. Rylee was the sweetest snuggle bunny with the most beautiful hair like her mama and blue eyes. She was born to the most loving, calm, strong, caring soul I’ve ever known. What a gift to know her and her parents. So much love and support on both sides of her family! May you all find comfort in the sweet memories of her. Love you all so much.

  14. Sweet Rylee, I think about you all of the time. You taught me a lot in the short year you were in my classroom, and I fell in love with how spunky you could be on that tobii! I miss all of the times we read together, laid on the blue mat and watched the projector lights, and the fun walks we had where we always had to bring your sunglasses because you hated the sun in your eyes. I’m sending you and your family so much love. Forever in my heart, little girl. ❤️

  17. Rylee I will miss you. I enjoyed watching Harry Potter trailers with you and the way we both laughed at some of the scenes. You were the light on a cloudy day. We shared so much this past school year and all the past years we were together. You were such a beautiful soul. I love you.

Your smile and beautiful eyes communicated so much and we loved you with all our hearts. It has been a pleasure to go boating , swimming and camping out at the TN campground with you.
