Sadie Roberts Fowler Lohrmann

Sadie Roberts Fowler Lohrmann, 91, of Leicester, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the CarePartners Solace Center.

Born February 7, 1932, in Greene Co., TN, Sadie was a daughter of the late Sampson and Effie Anderson Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Faye Reese, sister, Beulah Roberts and brother, McKinley “MC” Roberts.

Sadie worked at Square D for 20 years as a machine operator, and upon retirement, she decided to follow her dreams and go into nursing and received her degree as a certified nursing assistant and began home health care and continued to care for others until she no longer could. She also loved gardening and being outdoors in her spare time. Sadie was loved by everyone she met, and was often called a “spunky adorable woman.”

Surviving are her daughters, Gwen West (Jerry), Sue Ann Hills and Frances Mashburn; sons, Kenneth Fowler (Sara) and Jerry Fowler (Kathy); grandchildren, Karen Meade, Sadie Black (Richard), Stephanie Roberson (Chad), Bridgette Hills, Amanda Emery (fur babies), Megan Emery, Brandon Fowler and Travis Fowler; seven great-grandchildren; and special person, David Emery.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Solace Center for their care, and to the friends and neighbors that helped Sadie along the way.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Leicester Baptist Church, with Pastor Chad Ellege officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Western Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery.
