Sam D. "Pete" Peterson

Fletcher ~ Sam Daniel "Pete" Peterson, 60, of Dogwood Terrace, died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at his residence. A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of Marie Hughes Peterson of Burnsville and the late Stewart Peterson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Keith Peterson. He was a driver with the Teamster's Union for 30 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Miller Peterson; daughter, Rhonda Rene Peterson of Arden and an uncle, Marcus Hughes and his wife, Naomi of Taylors, SC. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by Pastor by Marvin Miller. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, P.O. Box 2395, Hendersonville, NC 28793.
