  1. I have known Sandra since Fall of 1985. Anyone that knows her knows she is a remarkable person. I have had the oppertunity to spend a lot of time with her, re: going on the hills of Western NC, taking her to Duke University, helping her with her repair work etc. I will miss her. She often said I was like a brother to her. My love for her will never die. Jim Craig

  4. Aunt Sandra was a fun person when growing up and a caring person thoughout my life. Animals were a passion she shared with all the family-especially horses, dogs and cats. My memories are good and bring a smile though I know she suffered much in the past decade. Her healing is now complete and her unconditional love and no nonsense attitude will always remain in my heart.

  5. Sandra was a dear friend whom I will miss so much. I always admired her will to keep going even when she had so many challenges. She loved her family and friends and was always doing thoughtful things for them. The world needs more Sandra Browns.

  6. My mother, Elaine Conner Allen Parris, was a close friend to Sandra. We were all devastated when my mother died in 1998 and I know Sandra missed her very much. I wish I had kept in touch with Sandra over the years but I lost contact after a few years and never reconnected. I have many childhood memories of her but my favorites are spending time at her home on Nevada Ave and playing with her pets while she chatted with my mother. Sandra was very thoughtful and kind and just a good person. It’s almost two years late but my condolences to her family.
