This seems so untimely, but time has just rushed by, and Sandy’s passing is a sad reminder of that. Sandy was a fun person, and a loving person. She was a devoted and caring Aunt. I’m so sad about the health challenges that she lived with and I know that all of you gathered around to support her needs in every possible way you could. I am praying that you can find some peace and understanding as you share sweet memories of times spent with Sandy. Love to all.

  9. Dear family, I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Sweet Sandy. I’ve known her for a very long time beginning with the Explorer Post when Sandy always had time for small talk with a teenage young man growing up, then in my military days when I came home for leave and had time to hang out with Sandy and learning form this amazing lady. Eventually I had the chance to come and work with her at the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office for a few years before leaving for the Highway Patrol.
Still no matter what day it was, what life cycle period it was, or wherever we were, Sweet Sandy always gave her time for a precious hug and warm moments with her friends. Looking back, I regret the last several years of not getting those hugs and having those awesome conversations with this precious lady, friend, and mentor.
Please know you’re all in my thoughts and prayers for many days to come!

  10. Oh no I just heard about this..Sandy was a dear friend of mine working in the Sheriff’s Office together and then she was my maid of honor in my wedding…my love to the family
