Sara "Sally" Creasman Hefner, 78, of Asheville, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at J.F. Keever Solace Center.
She was born in Buncombe County to the late Roy and Mary Jones Creasman. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Roy "Johnny" Creasman, Jr., Donald "Jim" Creasman; sister, Mary Lou Creasman Beard, her husband, of 48 years, Iverson Hefner, and her youngest son, John Hefner.
Survivors include sons, Joe Hefner of Asheville, Pat Hefner and wife, Marsha of Leicester; daughter, Sara Kirmss and her husband Todd of Flat Rock; as well as her grandsons, Dakota Moss, Tristan Hefner and Joey Hefner.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Norval Hensley will officiate and burial will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.
