Sara Lois Buckner Causey, 81, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Mission Hospital.
Mrs. Causey was born in Buncombe County to the late Troy and Idell Pressley Buckner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Causey, Sr. and one brother and three sisters.
Sara was an excellent mother and made a tremendous impact on her family for Jesus. She loved the Lord and proudly proclaimed Him to family and friends. She was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God.
She is survived by her three children; a daughter, Vickie Causey Taylor of Asheville; two sons, Jimmie J. Causey, II, and wife Melody, of Asheville; Joseph Daniel Causey, and wife Cathy, of Fletcher; two sisters, Nancy Greene and her husband, Gay and Margaret Gallion and her husband, Wayne; four grandchildren, Steven Parker, II, William Parker, Skylar Causey and Savannah Causey; one great grandchild, Paislee Causey and Sara’s best friend and companion, her dog, Prissy.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM at West Chapel Cemetery in Asheville with David Buckner officiating.

Vickie, Jimmy, and Danny. I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful mother, wife, friend. Both your parents raised you all up to know the Lord. It hurts a lot…but she is with the Lord and other family members in heaven. I will keep you in my prayers.
