  5. Jo, Tooter, & Becky. So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Your loss is Heaven’s Gain. What a happy and gracious Mother! I always will remember the ‘fun’ times at your house when we were ‘little girls’. The times we played ‘dress-up’ in her clothes is such a fun rememberance. She was not only beautiful on the outside but inside also. She was so compassionate, always helping others. We shall see her in Heaven one day and she will be healthy, happy, young, & beautiful again. What a Wonderful Day that will be. Our prayers and thoughts will be with you during this sad time in your lives. Love you all very much. Iva Jean & Charles, Duane & Donna Kay

  6. I have fought the fine fight, I have run the course to the finish, May thoughts of all your mother meant -Of love she gave, of good times spent -Bring you peace
and comfort, too, And keep your mother close to you. Though the ones we love may leave life as we know it, in our memory, the love we know will always carry on. Our greatest sympathy. I have observed the faith.-2Timothy 4:7. As for me, I will lie down that I may sleep; I shall certainly awake, for Jehovah himself keeps supporting me. -Psalms 3:5

  11. Harry, Betty Ann, and Sarah’s Family, I can remember when you couldn’t throw a rock on S. French Broad Ave. without hitting either a Shotwell or Hollar and now there are only two Shotwells left. In life we are never ready to lose our loved ones and the only comfort has to come from Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. We just hope in some small way it does help to know others do care. Joe and Zunita Clark

  12. I want you to know that I feel your pain, but know also that your Mom is in such a better place and have comfort in knowing that she will always be with us and we will all meet again. She was a wonderful person and so much fun! Man could she dance!! She will be missed by so many,as she touched so many lives. I’ll always remember how she & Mother and Louise would coordinate their outfits they looked like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine! Well your Mom & my Mother are dancing and dressing together again and looking after us all here. I wish I could be there but please know that I love you all and am there in spirit. Give each other a hug for me. Pat& Family

  13. Dear Mary,
I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Louise passing, but I know she lived a full and happy life and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Some of my fondest memories of her were at Christmas with her and granny all decked out in their Christmas finest, and how much laughter they brought to the children. I can just see them dancing with the kids and laughing, having a wonderful time.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers, and know Aunt Sarah is up in Heaven with Granny watching over us all.

    Love, Cindy, Marisa, Kylie, Ryder,
    and Carly

  14. I met Sarah at Mt. Care when I was taking my father, Lee Banks, there. My father thought there was no-one like her. She was a special lady and we loved her. After my father died, I would occassionally see Sarah at J&S cafeteria. She was a wonderful lady. My thoughts are with all of the family at this time. Shirley B. Shope

  15. Dear Mary,
Well, apparently I am no longer able to multi-task, I was writing about Aunt Sarah, and all the memories of Aunt Sarah, Aunt Louise, and granny were running through my mind while telling my youngest daughter, Carly, about Aunt Sarah. I can’t think of one sister, without thinking of all three! Love you all, Cindy

  16. To The Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Sarah. She was a wonderful great aunt, and Mattie always talked about the family reunions and all the fun and laughter they shared together.Sarah will be missed. May the Lord provide you the comfort and solace during this sad time. With deepest sympathy, David & Judy Matthews
