Sarah Marguerite "Marge" Crowell

Sarah Marguerite “Marge” Crowell, 80, formerly of English Drive, Candler, died Friday, October 31, 2003, in Charleston, SC. Mrs. Crowell was born in Cabarrus County and was a daughter of the late Braxton Parks McCurdy and Birdie Beatrice Shive McCurdy. She was married to Boone LaFayette "Bill” Crowell who died in 1995. She worked as a sales person with Bon Marche and Meyers-Arnold Department Stores and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sons, Richard S. Crowell of Concord, Phillip C. Crowell of Hendersonville, and Gary A. Crowell of Goose Creek, SC; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Lewis Memorial Park with the Revs. John Propst, C. Marion Starr and David L. Martin officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 10 N. Liberty Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
