Savannah Marlor McMahan, 85, of Leicester passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Campus, Mission Hospitals.
A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Nellie Ballew Marlor. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Marion McMahan and a son Rev. Earl McMahan.
Surviving are four sons, Bobby G. McMahan of Asheville, Edward McMahan and Kenneth McMahan of Leicester and Lewis McMahan of Candler; one daughter, Shirley Phillips of Asheville; a brother, Troy Marlor; a sister, Eliza McMahan and two half brothers, Junior and Howard Marlor; ten grandchilren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Jones Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Ken, Harry & I were sadden to hear of the passing of your Mother Savannah. What little time I knew her; she was a very precious woman and I will miss seeing her at Elderberry.
I know she is in heaven and one of God’s angels.

How Fortunate their Children are with A Mother and Dad like Savannah and Marion. I respected and Loved both very much.
