I am so very sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting your husband but always heard nothing but good words spoken about him to me through your Dad and Mom when I visited with them and asked about you and your fine family. This is truly a shock for everyone and most of all for you. Please know that I send my heartfelt sadness and condolences to you and your little boys. May God bless you and keep you and his face shine on you with his grace and mercy. The Lord looked upon you with favor and + give you comfort and peace.

Our family is forever indebted to Scott’s patience and professionalism as we produced our first video ‘Bertha Smith: Handmaiden of the Lord’ I was about to call Scott today and tell him it was time to re-edit it. What a shock! We send love and prayers.
Dear Lisa, Graham and Avery,
John and I were so sad to hear about Scott’s homecoming with our Lord. We both loved and thought highly of him. Scott was John’s closest friend. He was always there for John. We will miss him so very much. Scott just went home for Christmas to celebrate Jesus’s birthday with his Heavenly Father. Imagine how wonderful it is to be in the presence of our Lord.
We love you all. Please call on us for anything you need.

Lisa, Graham and Avery:
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if we can help in any way. We are sorry for your loss.
We love you,
Dear Lisa, Graham and Avery,
I am so sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. We were close growing up and as adults living in different states, I’m sorry we didn’t see each other more. Even though we didn’t see each other very much, I thought of him often. Whenever I saw Hugh and Jo, I would always ask about ya’ll and they would keep me up to date. When I go over to Hugh’s house, I always go around and look at all the pictures they have of ya’ll, so I can see how much Graham and Avery have grown. I will miss Scott dearly, his gentle smile and that twinkle that was always in his eyes. To me he was like a great big teddy bear, so huggable and kind. Even though his body is no longer with us on earth, he is still alive in our hearts and thoughts. Graham and Avery, the two of you are part of Scott, as you live your lives, you continue Scott’s life, so he is always with you. Make him proud as you grow into fine young men. Lisa, I will be praying for you and your sweet family.
DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO LISA & CHILDREN AND LISA’S BROTHER, TIM FORTNER, AND HIS FAMILY FROM A CLOSE FRIEND AND CO-WORKER OF WANDA FORTNER.
To Avery’s family,
I want you to know that we all love Avery’s smile, it is so warm and ever present. I have fond memories of seeing Avery and his dad hugging hello or goodbye often on the sidewalk at school. There was a sweetness, a genuine love that was so evident! I hope that as you grow up Avery, you carry that smile always, into life. You dad will be with you in spirit, he loves you so much. You are a great kid, when you are ready to come back to Evergreen, we will be very happy to see you.
God bless you all.
