Scott Wayne Banks, 33, of 11 Eye View Road, Candler, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Banks was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was a son of Brenda Charlene Nix Banks of Candler, and the late Kenneth Wayne Banks who died in 1997. Surviving in addition to the mother are a sister Sheena Pittillo and her husband Barry and special nephews; Tyler and Travis Pittillo. A Memorial Service will be at 5:00 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2005, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Tommy Lipe officiating. His family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots.

  1. I was saddened to hear about Scott’s untimely death. I had not talked nor seen Scott in several years -but I thought about him and his family often. We shared lots of childhood memories growing up together as neighbors.
