Seth L. Laughrun, 89, of 169 Arco Road, Asheville, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Hospice Solace Center.
Mr. Laughrun was born in Yancey County and was a son of the late Jason and Loula Horton Laughrun. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II and was a member of First Baptist Church, Asheville. He was retired from the Hav-A-Tampa Cigar Company.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Gibbs Laughrun; one son, Gene Laughrun and his wife, Diann, of Black Mountain, and two grandchildren, Jason and Brian Laughrun.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Edgar E. Ferrell officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Margaret, Sorry to hear of Seth’s passing, as he was in my S. S. Class at church. He was a good friend, as are you, and know that I will keep you in my thoughts during these days. Donna Painter kept the church informed as to his condition. May God be with you.
