Lavon was my dad’s niece and my cousin! Through the early years we met at our grandmother’s house to eat, play, roam, and be with family. Such a carefree time! Lavon learned the beautiful art of quilting from her aunts and mom and kept that art going for the rest of her life. What a contribution she made to so many!
Sorry to hear about Lavon passing. She was a good friend to David and me. You all are in my prayers.
Thank you for sharing this story! I know her joy and happiness has been restored through Jesus and reuniting with Daddy!! Love you!!!

I am so sorry to hear of Sharons passing. I worked with Johnny at Square D. Sharon and I keep in touch via Facebook, swapping pictures of our quilts. She is happy now with Johnny.
I graduated with Lavon from Erwin in 1967. We had several classes together. I read yesterday where she signed my annual on the page where she was the cutest baby winner. Lavon was always so sweet and kind. I’m so sorry for your loss and I will cherish her memory. God will certainly comfort you during this heartbreaking time.

Laura, Lynne and Family, Larry and I were so very sorry to hear about Lavon. We have been friends for so many years to this sweet family. Watching all of our children grow up and have families of their own. I know you will miss her so much but she is in Heaven now with the love of her life and I’m sure she is so happy and sick no more. It is so hard on those of us left behind but knowing how healthy and happy she is will help you through this. Our love and prayers are with each of you.
You have my deepest sympathy. I’ll definitely miss her post and her finished beautiful quilts that she shared on Facebook. She loved her family so and it showed. Such a legacy to leave for her family.
