  2. Lavon was my dad’s niece and my cousin! Through the early years we met at our grandmother’s house to eat, play, roam, and be with family. Such a carefree time! Lavon learned the beautiful art of quilting from her aunts and mom and kept that art going for the rest of her life. What a contribution she made to so many!

  3. My condolences goes out to the family. She will be missed I always enjoyed her at our luncheons. Praying for all

  4. I am so sorry about Lavon’s death. She was a precious lady. I know she is rejoicing now with Jesus and with John.

  5. Lynne, My condolences to you and all the family. She was a very special lady with a beautiful smile always with a kind word. So talented doing handwork and quilting which she passed along to you. I know you all are very blessed to have had this loving Mother who always showed her love for all of you and her love for the Lord. I know y’all will always miss her Heaven gets sweeter every day🙏✝️🙏

  6. Laura & Lynne, I will always treasure our childhood. Growing up, spending as much time at your house as mine. Your mom treated me like one of her own and sure made me mind like I was hers! She was a strong woman and stood behind what she believed in. I will never forget my first time riding a bike was in Granny’s yard. Daddy had taken my training wheels off and I was scared to take off. Lavon pushed me down the hill and made me do it! She gave me wings to fly and the confidence to do it again and again! I will always treasure the wonderful quilts she made for my family. She is with your daddy now and I know she is rejoicing! Love you both so much! Praying for you, the kids and grandkids during this season of your life.
