We were so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing. Although I do know her, my husband, Ed, knows her brother David. I have met Hugh on occasion when I had been looking for a new car. I know with death so much sadness comes along, but knowing the Lord and knowing that she is with Him, helps ease the pain, if only a little. May God wrap his arms around you and your family to help ease your sorrow.
Ed and Susie Clontz
Wendy’s sweet smile will always be ingrained in my memory. Going to school with her, she was always so nice to everyone. Then years later, my husband’s best friend moved in beside her and Hugh and we would see them occasionally while visiting. She always smiled! I am keeping her family in my prayers that they may feel God’s loving arms during their time of hurting.
I will always remember her smile. And i know she is in a better place smiling again.

I will always be thankful for you, for all your strength, and inspiration. I have never known anyone like you. Joyce and Family, my name is June, I am Annie Mae Wooten’s daughter. I know you know this, but I wanted to say that you had a very special daughter. When my Mom got cancer, Wendy came out and spend time with Mom, my sister and I and really helped us a lot. I have never seen anyone as brave as her or fight as hard as she did. Now her and Mom both have been healed, no more pain or medicines. It’s hard on us that are left behind because we love them so much. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that we will see them again one day and never have to say good bye again. Wendy was precious and she will be missed terribly. I wish we all could be at least half the person she was, she touched a lot of lives and she will never be forgotten. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Although sad for those left behind, I know she is celebrating with her Lord. Hope this helps ease your heart. Bishop Trent was a missionary to the Philippians and wrote the following about dying. What is dying? A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says, “She is gone.” Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all; she is just as large as when I saw her… The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her, and just at the moment when someone at my side says, “she is gone,” there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout, “there she comes!” and that is dying. Love and prayers for each of you.
Heartfelt Sympathy, Shirley Brown Reeves
