Sheila Yvonne Kuykendall, 48, of Bear Creek Rd., Leicester, died on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Harold Rhodarmer. Mrs. Kuykendall had worked as a waitress for 15 years at Poseidon Restaurant. She was a former employee with Mission Hospitals, and had been a member of the National Nurses Assistant Association. She was also a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Tim Kuykendall; sons, Charles Ballard and wife Elizabeth, of Asheville, and Lindsey Ballard and wife Ali, of Swannanoa; sister, Michelle Miles and husband Bobby, of York, SC; nephew, Cody, and niece, Autumn, her special aunts and uncles, and her puppies, Rose and others. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Baird officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.

    I am so sorry for the loss of Shelia! I am praying for you all and am heartbroken over her passing. I really loved her always happy personality, joy for life, and caring nature. I will always remember how much she cared and was concerned about Anna Kate. If there is anything at all that I can do for any of you please let me know.   7. tim and boys I am so very sorry for your loss she was my first baby and I having a hard time with not being there for her and you all all I can say is that she is in God’s hands now and she is breathing freely – please know that all of you did everything for her that you possible could none of you should have any regrets she told me more than once that she was so proud of all of you for how you took such good care of her. I love all of you and you certainly have my sympathy and prayers that God’s mercy and comfort will be with you during this time of loss.

    I am so sorry to hear about Shelia. Bless her heart, she put up a couragious battle. I still laugh remembering her stories about ‘Herbie’ and ‘Pacman’, and they were true! My prayer is that God will wrap his arms around you and comfort you during your time of grief and healing. Take care.

  12. Sheila always had the best personality and I enjoyed getting to know her at Zion Hill. She loved her family and always had the prettiest smile for everyone. She was a great waitress and friend. This world needs more Sheilas. To the family–you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope her boys will always show the love and friendliness she instilled in them for others. She loved you dearly. Now she can rest in peace, free from all pain. She will be missed but we will meet again.

Always smiling. She will be missed. She is in a better place now the Lord is welcoming her with open arms. May the Lord help you thru the days ahead. God Bless you and your family.

    I am so sorry about the passing of Shelia. She was such a sweet girl inside and out. I pray God will give you peace and comfort during this time of grieving. God’s grace is sufficient! To the boys…its hard losing a parent and it never gets better but it does get easier with time. I pray God wraps his loving arms around your whole family. Shiela was a caring and fun loving person and loved you boys with everything she had from the time you were born to now and beyond.   20. I am deeply sorry to hear of Shelia’s passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. My it be a comfort to you all to know that she is no longer suffering and is and much better place; in Heaven with our Lord. I had not seen Shelia in many years but remember her fondly. She used to keep me when I was a baby. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with her family.
