Sherrye Anne Johnson passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Sherrye was a retired computer administrator and homemaker, a volunteer at Mission Hospital, an avid and talented clogger with the Mountain Thunder clogging group in Asheville and loving wife, mother and grandmother and friend to many.
She is survived by her husband, David, of 53 years, daughter, Andrea and son-in-law, Steve and daughter, Teresa and two grandchildren, Haley and David.
There is a Celebration of Life Memorial service for Sherrye at the Groce Funeral Home at 856 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805 on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 2 PM.
Dress in any manner that you believe best celebrates Sherrye’s joyful life.

One cannot think of Sherrye without gaining a smile, because she was rarely without one and always inspired joy in all she encountered. My deepest condolences go out to her adoring husband, Dave, her precious daughters, and treasured grandchildren. May a lifetime of loving memories bring us all peace, comfort, and a heartfelt smile.
