Stephen Doyle Elliott, 54, of Candler and Statesville, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, in Statesville.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Harold E. and Georgiana Watts Elliott. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Linda Lee Elliott, Joann Laughter, Elaine O'Neal and a brother, Phillip Elliott. He was a US Army veteran.
Survivors include brothers, Rev. Robert Elliott and wife Gail of Candler and Owen Elliott of Lillington, NC.
Graveside services will be 4:00 pm Saturday at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Richard Watts, Austin Watts and Donny Dingess officiating.
His family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service and at other times will be at the home of Robert and Gail Elliott, 78 Ken-Tel Road, Candler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to assist with expenses be sent to Robert Elliott at the above address.
