Steven Elliott Sampson, 36, of Leicester, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Mission Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., Steven was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for UPS and Williams Plating.
Surviving are his parents, Billy and Freda Rogers Sampson; daughter, Calia Sampson; and brother, Baron Sampson (Sarah).
Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Sampson, maternal grandparents, Charlie and Hilma Rogers, and paternal grandparents, T.J. and Lazelle Sampson.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brother Wolf, PO Box 8195, Asheville, NC 28803.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss of a loved one. It’s never easy to say goodbye under any circumstances. 1 Corinthians 15:26 speaks of a time when the ‘last enemy, death, will be brought to nothing.’ From that point on we will never have to experience the pangs of death again.
