  1. Nikki, Mike, and family I am so very sorry to learn of Stevens passing, it was a pleasure knowing him and the entire family. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with Steven’s family. Our hearts are filled with sadness.

  3. To all my Edwards family. I’m so very sorry and heartbroken for the passing of Steve. He was an amazing person and I was blessed to call him family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love to you all. Tracey Sharpe

  4. I always looked forward to going to Sherwin Williams because I knew I would leave knowing something new because of Steve. Whether it was a new ice cream recipe or something about paint, Steve had me covered. Rest in peace.

  5. Steve was a wonderful guy. My dad loved him. He only wanted Steve to help him, so he could visit with him. He will be missed so much.
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel.”
    Phillipians 1:3

  6. I knew Steve for a long, long, long time. The news of his passing is a real shock. Go rest high on that mountain Steve……..untill we meet again. I am not going to say “Good bye” to you……….I’m only going to say “See you later” my friend. Love, Barbara Carnegie.

  7. So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. What a great caring man. Always so knowledgeable and helpful at his work at Sherwin-Williams.Had many great conversations with Steve and you could depend on his experience and knowledge to help you on any job you had. My prayers for strength and comfort to all of Steve’s family. God be with you during this difficult time.

    • Steve was a friend to us. We went to church together for years. He was always willing to help us with our paint questions. He is missed.
      Prayers for the family.

  8. As a paint pro, Steve was ‘Asheville Famous’, an expert go-to. During the years we worked together in West Asheville, Steve was a mentor and good friend to me. It was always going to be a good day if Steve was there.
We are so sad to lose Steve, but he is beyond suffering now, and the example of Good that he set is something we will always remember.
Steve gave us some beautiful purple perennials a few years ago, and this year we split them up and placed them around the yard. They bloomed this year the same week he passed. We will never forget our friend.
    –Maddie and Larry Johnson

  9. So sorry to hear of the passing of my West Asheville neighbor and grammer school classmate. Allen Pounders
