Sue Elizabeth “Lib” Shope Hollifield, 89, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021.
A native of Buncombe Co., Lib was a daughter of the late Wilton and Ada Gambrell Shope. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. “Jim” Hollifield.
Mrs. Hollifield was a graduate of Swannanoa High School, and was a Doe at the Elk’s Lodge. She worked as a CNA.
Surviving are her sons, Larry Michael Wolfe and Lee Wolfe (Patricia); and grandsons, Steven Lee Wolfe and Larry Michael Wolfe, II.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Rev. James R. Lamb officiating. Attendance is limited to 75 and masks are required.
Private family burial will be held at Skyview Memorial Park.
