Susan Kertesz Schoof

Susan Kertesz Schoof, 60, of 10 Whitaker Circle, Fairview, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A native of Toledo, OH, she was a daughter of Nelverta Robb Kertesz of Pemberville, OH and the late John Kertesz. She worked as an x-ray technician at St. Charles Hospital in Toledo and later was a full-time homemaker. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Schoof was loved by her husband of 33 years, Charles Vernon Schoof; a son, Stephen Schoof and his wife Leslie of Weaverville; two sisters, Diane Widmer of Walbridge, OH and Pat Harvey of Oregon, OH; a niece and nephew, Jackie and Scott Harvey and numerous friends and family. A covered dish dinner and memorial service will will celebrate Susan’s life at 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2003, at Hickory Nut Gap Farm in Fairview. She will be remembered for her love of animals, the outdoors, music and her delicious baked goods that she always shared generously with her community.
