TA Miller, 76, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017. He leaves behind his daughter, Donna and son-in-law Kemmuel Hyatt; granddaughters, Katie (Mic), Kirstie (Coleman) and Karley; and great-granddaughters, Maci and Elleni. He was the son of the late Troy Arthur Miller, Sr. and Reeda DeBruhl Miller and was a lifelong resident of Candler. He enjoyed his career in the dairy business. He was a 32nd degree Mason at the Hominy Lodge #491, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a Shriner at the Land of the Sky Shrine. He was very involved in charitable organizations in WNC, an avid golfer and close friend to many. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 32 Piney Mountain Church Road, Candler, NC 28715.

  10. So sorry to hear of TA’s passing. He was my 1st football coach (7th grade) and has called many fouls on me during high school basketball games at Enka. Funny how he would blow that whistle, then grin. One heckava friend and good man. I’ll miss seeing him mowing the yard with a cigar in his mouth. Will miss you buddy. GodSpeed.

  14. Oh a sad day…for so many that TA touched over his lifetime. He was such a warm and fun loving soul. I think of him so often and the fun times at the Depot. I will never forget the ice cream party he have my little Maggie because he was touched by her big heart of donating all of her piggy bank money to the Eblin children during a Halloween fundraiser. You will be missed my friend…love and light to the family.

  16. I so sad to hear about TA passing. I am certain he is in a better place. I will miss his clever quips and stories from his youth. He never hesitated to help those in need and never expected anything in return. I am glad to have known him because he certainly made a wonderful impact. Love to you TA…

  18. Donna and family , So sorry for your lose . T.A. was one of a kind and will be missed by many . I will be out of town Friday and unable to attend his celebration of life but will in some way privately honor his memory .
