Talmadge Lee Gregory

Talmadge Lee Gregory, 89, of Fairview, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. Mr. Gregory was a native of Buncombe County and was a son of the late Willard Bascombe and Anna Lee Dalton Gregory. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Gregory, sister, Gladys Moore, and brothers, Paul and Wayne Gregory. He served with the US Army during WW II and was a former driver with the NC DOT. He is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Thorpe, Edith Hogan, Alice Rothenburg and Atlas Anderson, and a brother Melvin Gregory. Graveside services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Chester Owenby officiating. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.
