Teresa Marlene Nicholson passed away on her 60th birthday, March 23, 2022 from heart failure due to her long battle with COPD.

Teresa lived her life with no filters. Whatever came into her mind came out of her mouth. You always knew exactly where you stood with her.

Teresa is now with her mother, Carolyn Monteith and her father, Robert Nicholson in heaven.

Teresa leaves behind her partner in life of almost 21 years, Tammy Seay and their beloved dog, Shadow. She also leaves behind her two children, Jonathan Nicholson (Sherry) and Howard Burrell (Jessica); dad, Johnny Monteith; two sisters, Cindy Limeberry and Sabrina Gunter (Dennis); three grandchildren, Cameron, Madison and Skylar; step daughter, Ashley; nephews Josh Limeberry, Zeb Gunter and Joshua Highhouse; special aunt, Faye Hipps (Curtis); and countless other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Teresa will be honored at Groce Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.

  8. Tammy, I remember that first New Years Eve when I met Teresa and you….I knew then that y’all were good people and great memories had just begun! I will always have fond memories of campfires and cookouts and the laughter. Teresa shot from the hip and that is a rare find, she was certainly one of a kind! Tammy my heart goes out to you and your family.
