Thelma Wallace Duckworth Stallard, 88, of 290 Deaverview Road, Asheville, died Wednesday, August 23, 2000.

Mrs. Stallard was born in Honecker, VA, and was a daughter of the late Walter and Nora Couch Wallace. She was married to Glartie H. Stallard who died in 1998, and she was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Miller of Asheville and Jane Hensley of Sullivan Gardens, Tennessee; one sister, Willie Ball of Atlanta and two brothers, H.K. Wallace of Tampa, FL, and Dallas Wallace of Atlanta, GA.

A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2000 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Robert Burpitt officiating.
