Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Thelma was my father’s (Jennings Foster) first cousin. Her father, Uncle Tom Lanning, and my grandmother, Arona Foster Lanning, were siblings. Thelma was one of Dad’s favorite cousins, and he was extremely fond of Porter, as well. Thelma and Dad talked quite often and stayed in close touch right up until his death in 1997. She was a lovely lady and I enjoyed her and Porter’s visits to us so much when I was a child. My sympathies are with you.

  2. Thelma was a dear friend and I loved being around her every Friday morning at Attraction Salon. All of my customers enjoyed talking to her. She will be missed. Love Martha Reece

  3. I extend heartfelt sympathy to the nieces and nephews of Thelma. May God comfort you as only He can in this hour of breavement. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Kate Joyner

  4. We are remembering you in our thougths and prayers. May God be the Comforter and give you peace.
    Sincerely, Mike & Gail Joyner

  5. Dear Cousins,

I remember Thelma as a smiling, kind and helpful person. She was always so good to me.

The memory of Thelma’s kind deeds will live on in the memory of many people. She will be missed.

Roberta Foster Teachey (daughter of Jennings Foster, Thelma’s first cousin)
