Theresa Lynn Siegrist

theresa siegrist

Theresa Lynn Siegrist passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023, at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville, NC after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. After graduating from Forest Hill High School, West Palm Beach, FL in 1971, she spent over 40 years living in Atlanta.

She retired to Asheville, NC in 2018. Theresa had an enormous zest for life; she loved the Atlanta Braves, hiking, playing pickleball, and traveling. Golf was her biggest passion, Theresa golfed as much as possible with friends from Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, playing on courses all over the country and in Scotland. One of her proudest moments was the hole-in-one landed on the 17th hole at Reems Creek on May 16, 2022, in Weaverville, NC.

Theresa loved being around her many friends but was most happy surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Lauren; five brothers, Buzz (Karen), Patrick (Fran), Ben (Annie), Tim (Bob), and Jeff (Julie); her uncle Jack; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to express appreciation to all the caretakers at Messino Oncology, CarePartners Solace Center, and especially the doctors and nurses at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Theresa was a great friend. We shared many great adventures together, and I’m left with such wonderful memories.

  2. A lovely lady met through golf outings. She will be missed but remembered for all the good times spent on the golf courses.

  3. My deepest condolences and love to all the family. Theresa shared wonderful stories of you all.
I feel so fortunate to have known Theresa. We shared lots of golf games and travels including to Europe. When lagging behind the group on one of those trips, I will never forget how Theresa came back to walk with me. She also taught me to hum a song when walking to help with breathing. I always think of her, and smile, when I take my daily walks.
My memories are precious and cherished.
    Rest easy dear Lady.

  4. Teresa was such a joy! Her zest for life, her of love of golf and determination to excel was expressed in the beam of light from her smile. Rest in peace, you will be missed

  5. Theresa was so positive and vital. I will always remember her infectious smile. She was an awesome volunteer at Loving Food Resources. She is greatly missed!

  6. I recently got to chat with you at Reems Creek Golf Club. Our slice of heaven. You invited me and insisted that I play with you and the 18 holers. I said yes, definately when I get back in May. I’m so sad that that won’t happen. May you RIP. You will be missed by many. May your friends and family’s memories of you be a comfort and blessing.

  7. Sending you all love and peace. Theresa was a wonderful neighbor and so sad to hear of her passing.
