  15. Ann, Gary, Mrs. Henderson, and Rev. Henderson,

I am so sorry I was unable to attend Caldwell’s funeral, but Debbie was glad she could be there. Caldwell was a great and gentle man. I know he was at peace with himself, and he shared that peace with everyone around him. His long and faithful service to Biltmore will always be remembered and appreciated. Think of the great joy he brought to thousands and thousands of dairy customers and Biltmore guests. Not many people have that kind of opportunity. We will all miss him, but we will not forget his caring smile and humble spirit. I have great respect for him. Our thoughts are with you as you grief his loss, but what wonderful memories you will have forever.

  16. It has been years since you lost your sweet Caldwell, but I was thinking of him tonight when I walked through the courtyard at West Asheville Baptist Church. I worked with Caldwell at Biltmore House in the late 90s. I can’t begin to say in such a brief post how much I loved Caldwell and how good and kind he was to me. I’m sure there are countless others who would say the same. Rest In Peace dear friend. You are remembered.
