Thomas J. Todd
March 29, 1944 ~ May 1, 1999
Thomas J. Todd, 55 of Candler, a former resident of Atlanta for 27 years, died Sunday, May 2, 1999 in a local hospital.
A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Edna Lamb Todd of Arden and of the late Lewis Samuel Todd, who died in 1968.
He was a retired security guard with Emory University at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant and also worked at the Hyatt Regency, Ritz Carlton and Peachtree Plaza Hotels in Atlanta.
He attended Biltmore Holiness Temple and was a Hospice volunteer. He was active with the Loving Food Resources and was on the Park Place Board.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Ella Mae Roberts of Oteen, Annette Hall of Arden and two brothers, Lee B. Todd and Lewis E. Todd of Arden.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Polly Ross and her staff.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. in the Biltmore holiness Temple conducted by the Rev. G.A. McCurry. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian where Mr. Todd will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
