Arden – Robert Anthony “Tony” Kelley, 47, of Heywood Road, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 27, 2005.
A native of Miami, Florida, Tony was the son of Richard M. Kelley of Asheville and Frances Hensley Kelley of Arden, with whom he made his home. Tony had been a hairdresser in the Asheville area for many years.
In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his stepmother, Carolyn Kelley; a sister, Martha Moore and her husband, Gary, of Black Mountain; two brothers, Ronald Kelley of Fairview and Mike Kelley and his wife, Monica, of Flat Rock; ten nieces and nephews and Tony was especially fond of his great niece.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Rev. W.C. Hensley.
The family will receive friends following the service.

Tony was my hairdresser for many years and I always considered him a friend. My sympathy to all of the family expecially his mother.
My deepest sympathy to Tony’s entire family. I was a friend and co-worker with Tony’s mother, Frances at CTS for many years. During those years, I became acquainted with Tony as a client and a friend. He was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
I was so sorry to hear of Tony’s death. He was my hairdresser and a good friend for many years. My thoughts are with his mom and family.
To all of Tony’s family I send my good thoughts of Tony and prayers to all of you in your loss. I learned many things from Tony over the years that he took care of my hair. He was a good person and I’m glad I knew him.
