Anthony Frederick Williams, 57, of Asheville, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at his residence. A native of Greenwich, CT, Mr. Williams had lived in Asheville for more than 30 years. He was the son of Joan Delfosse Williams and the late Robert M. Williams, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann "Piji" Williams. In addition to his mother, Mr. Williams is survived by his brother, Robert M. "Bobby" Williams, Jr., of Hong Kong, China. A memorial service for Tony will be held Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the Groce Funeral Home Chapel, 856 Tunnel Rd. His family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 100 Edgewood Rd., Asheville, NC 28804.

Tony Williams, 57, of Leicester, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at his residence. A native of Yancey Co., Mr. Williams was a son of Carmie Wilson Williams and the late Dewey Williams. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Ike and Lynn Wilson. Mr. Williams worked as the owner and operator of T&D Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patricia King Williams; sons, Tony Williams and wife Shannon, of Candler, and Brian Williams and wife Tina, of Fletcher; daughter, Angie Ballard, Leicester; brothers, Randy, Scott, and Allen Williams, all of Burnsville; nephew, Jason Angel, of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Tyler and Ryley Hess, Cameron, Macy, and Victoria Williams; and all of his extended family at T&D Trucking. A graveside service for Mr. Williams will be on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Webb officiating. His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
