Treva Langley Parris

Treva Browning Langley Parris, 97, formerly of Asheville, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Kate Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Born in Knoxville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Wesley and Beulah Evans Browning. She was married to the late William Odell Langley and to the late Harry Blaine Parris, and was also preceded in death by a son, William Howard Langley. Mrs. Parris formerly worked as cafeteria manager for the Asheville City Schools, and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and AARP Chapter 101 of N. Asheville. She is survived by a son, Joseph Clarence Langley of Winston-Salem, and a sister, Juanita Warren of Asheville. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev.
