Ulysess Grant “Gene” Ramsey, III, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at his residence.

A native of Buncombe Co., Ulysess was a son of the late Ulysess Grant, Jr., and Mabel Tweed Ramsey. He was also preceded in death by brothers Marshall and Johnny Ramsey.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Kay Anderson Ramsey; son, Paul Ramsey (Penny); step-children, Marty, Gene, and Letha; sisters, Jackie Smith (Paul) and Sandy Dryman (Dicky); and brother, Melton Ramsey (Joann).

Mr. Ramsey’s request was that no services be held.

    My granddaughter always called him “Super Gene” and he was !
