Vena Faye Morris Clark

A native of Transylvania County, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Luegene Lavender Morris. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Mildred Jean Morris.
Mrs. Clark retired in 1998 as a secretary from the state of NC DOT and had served as a faculty secretary with Montreat Anderson Jr. College. She was also a volunteer with the Eblen Foundation. Mrs. Clark was active in Life after Cancer as she belonged to ''The Good Company Support Group''.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Arden First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James ''Jim'' Willard Clark; a daughter, Donna Coggins and her husband, Jeffrey of Fletcher; a son, Doug Clark and his wife, Jane of Arden; one brother, Jimmy Morris of Marion and three grandchildren, Robert Clark, Rebecca Clark and Mackenzie Coggins.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Old Fort with Reverend Stephen Summers officiating. Interment will be in the WNC State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain on Monday, May 20th at 10:00 AM.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. The family will also receive friends thirty minutes before the service on Sunday at the church.
