Vera Jackson DeHart

Vera Mae Jackson DeHart, 77, of 100 Wise Rd., Candler, died Friday, June 9, 2000. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Saxton M. (Sam) and Mary McFee Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil L. DeHart. She was a member of Brown’s View United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Mitzie E. Robinette and husband Ted of Hendersonville, Virgie Marie King of Lapeer, MI, Linda L. Hopp and husband Dan of Candler; brother, Charles Ray Jackson of Candler; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Brown’s View United Methodist Church with Reverend John D. Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 Saturday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue where the body will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
