Victoria Itria Costa, 88, of Lake Junaluska, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Brooks Howell Home.
She was born in Whippany, NJ, a daughter of the late Thomas and Savaria Rametta Ziccarello. She is also preceded in death by siblings, John
Ziccarello, Mary Quimby, Jeanne Ferraiuolo and Lucille Gangemi.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-nine years, Frank S. Costa; sons, Frank L. Costa (Michele) of Asheville and Tommy Costa (Laura) of
Raleigh; daughters, Sara Costa Smith (Kevin) of Blue Jay, CA and Christina Costa Newsome (Homer) of Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, Jenna (Herman), Michael (Courtney), Anna, and Rebecca; great granddaughter, Braylee; and brothers, Lt. Col. Ret. Jess Ziccarello and Thomas “Bud” Ziccarello, both of Whippany, NJ.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family will welcome visitors at an informal gathering on Saturday, April 21st, between noon and 3 p.m. at the home of Frank and Michele
Costa, 8 Deerwood Dr., Asheville, NC.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.

my deepest sympathies; it is too bad that I did not get the news until the night of APRIL 29TH when my brother, Charles Sanzone, got notified by the Costa family, and in turn, contacted me, Frank Sanzone. Aunt Tory will surely be missed.
