Virgie Elizabeth Cummings Johnson, 99, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Emerald Ridge Health Care.
A native of Buncombe Co., Virgie was a daughter of the late Floyd Lee Cummings and Bertha Lee Parham Cummings.
Surviving are her daughters, Jeanette Roberts and Pat Ward; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
