Virgie Lunsford Taylor

Asheville ~ Virgie Lunsford Taylor, 68, of Mills Gap Road, died on October 4, 2006. A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Norman and Ruth Sherlin Lunsford. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Franklin Marlor and three brothers, Bob, Howard and Roy Lunsford. She was a retired store manager for Ice Service Convenience. She is survived by her daughters, Faye Marlor Gilpin of Asheville and Virginia Marlor of Arden; three sons, Gary Marlor of Asheville, Ronnie Marlor of Canton and Ray Marlor of Black Mountain; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Julia Worley of Asheville; four brothers, Jerry Lunsford of Portland, OR. Fred Lunsford of South Carolina, Harvey and Don Lunsford of Asheville; one aunt, Helen Parton of Weaverville. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with the Rev. Woodfin Hudson and Rev. Leonard Hall officiating.
