Virginia Angel Reel Asheville ~ Virginia Dare Angel Reel, 85, of Asheville, died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late James and Lura Galloway Angel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, M/Sgt. (U.S Army/ Ret.) Charles Clifton Reel, who died in 1983, one brother, James Hollie Angel and one sister, Elizabeth O. Rathburn. Virginia is survived by two daughters, G. Charmaine Ernst and her husband, Larry, of Winter Springs, FL and Juanita Gaddy and her husband, J. Michael, of Fairview; two grandchildren, Chimene D. Kalinowski and her husband, Michael, of Oviedo, FL and Adrian A. Ernst of Asheville and two great-grandchildren, Breanna M. Kalinowski and Alexis G. Kalinowski as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Calvary Episcopal Church with Father Victor Mansfield officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Old Well Hall at the church. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to a charity of one's own choice. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
