Virginia Lee Davis
October 14, 1915 ~ August 3, 1999

Mrs. Davis was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Oscar and Sophrona Greene Sams. She was also preceded in death by her
husband, Claude J. Davis in 1996 and by a grandson, Ricky Lynn Davis, in 1985. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Claudette Messer of Candler; two
sons, Jerry H. Davis of Trinity, TX and Cleate Davis of Vincennes, IN; a sister, Pauline Morgan of Rock Hill, SC; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
