Virginia Lee Lewis

Virginia Lee Brown Lewis, 85, formerly of 104 Spruce Hill Lane, Asheville, died Monday, December 30, 2002. Mrs. Lewis was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Jessie H. and Ellen Rogers Brown. She was a former buyer for Bon Marche Department Store. She is survived by three sons, Don and Gerald Ward of Raleigh and Ted Ward of Virginia; three brothers, Dr. Cecil Brown of Asheboro, Howard Brown of Franklin and Don Brown of Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gillespie officiating. Burial will be at Big Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
