Virginia Southerland Conner

Virginia Southerland Conner, 89, formerly of 1 Madeline Avenue, Asheville, died Thursday, November 2, 2000 in a Salisbury, NC nursing home. Mrs. Conner was a daughter of the late Edward Farrior and Lockie Carpenter Southerland. She was also preceded in death by her husband John A. “Jack” Conner who died in February 2000. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her sisters, Kathryn Britt and Margaret Huston both of Salisbury and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
